The majestic and beautiful buildings in civic centre of Cardiff are other monuments of the prosperous city. The host of Portland stone buildings are really impressive, particularly in the evening when they are lit up. Among them lie City Hall , National Museum of Wales, University of Wales, College of Cardiff and National Assembly for Wales.
By contrast to these ancient relics and modern splendid halls , offices and a museum, Cardiff city centre, across the busy Castle Street, shows us its quite modern features. Banks and department stores are on the busiest St. Mary Street leading to Cardiff Central Station. Cardiff Arms Park or National Rugby Stadium is also only a few hundreds meters away from Cardiff Castle.
St. David's Center is the most famous and fashionable shopping center in Wales. The Capital Shopping Centre on Queen Street, another brand-new mall, was opened several years ago and became a popular shoppers's attraction. New hotels and an international convention hall are also opened. Long-established arcades are other favorite spots people of Cardiff frequently visit. Theatres and cinemas are also always waiting them.
