Submission Rules

The Journal of Flow Injection Analysis, which is published twice a year (June and December) by the Japanese Association for Flow Injection Analysis, provides a forum for the publication of all aspects of FIA works. JFIA includes the following categories of papers:

  1. Forewords
  2. Reviews
  3. Mini-Reviews (short reviews. A review focused on the authorfs studies is also acceptable.)
  4. Original Papers
  5. Notes
  6. Messages
  7. Personal Reviews (reminiscences of studies by a senior researcher)
  8. Tutorial Reviews
  9. FIA Frontline (articles introducing leading-edge studies)
  10. Topics
  11. Reports (academic meeting, international congress, visit to foreign lab., studying abroad, etc.), Introduction of New Publication, FIA Titles (from meeting) and Announcements.

The Forewords and FIA Titles are articles invited by the editors. The papers except them are open to submission. The Reviews, Mini-Reviews, Original Papers, Notes, Messages, Personal Reviews, Tutorial Reviews, FIA Frontline and Topics are peer-reviewed by one or two reviewer(s), depending on the categories of the papers. The manuscript should be prepared according to the Instructions to Authors of JFIA.The approximate length of the manuscript is as follows: The Topics and Introduction of New Publication should be written in a page. There is no page charge for any categories of published papers. The copyrights of papers published in JFIA belong to the Japanese Association for Flow Injection Analysis.
