Optimize Your Page for Speed & Properly Capitalize Song Titles

What does this do?
1. It optimizes your page for speed by taking out things that don't show on the page.
2. It will correctly capitalize all your song titles assuming that the clickable part of the link is the name of the song and that you want to follow English Language Rules for Capitalization of Song Titles.
How do I use it?
1. Put the URL to your page in the form, then click the button. (You don't need to change any of the options.)
2. If you like the results, save the page "as source" or "as HTML" to your own hard disk.
3. (If you don't like the results, try changing some of the options.)
4. Check it out from your own hard disk. If it looks OK and works OK, then rename it to the original filename and upload it to your server.
5. Warning: Keep a backup of your current page before you replace your online page with this new one. I don't think you'll have problems, but if you do, you can put your original page back online. Please note that pages with <PRE></PRE> cannot be optimized properly.
6. You may occasionally need to manually fix some capitalization (some two-word verbs may be missed,) but a lot of it is automatic, so it will save you a lot of time.
7. If your page comes back blank, then it means our server is currently overloaded. Please come back and try it another time.

Enter a valid URL, starting with "http://"

Include a link to Standard MIDi Files on the Net at the very bottom of your page. (See the bottom of this page for an example.) You can easily delete it later if you decide that you don't like it.
Convert table-formatting to list-formatting
This makes the page layout faster and works for palm-top computers and other small screen computers better than table-formatting. You may need to edit the output a little since I have it remove all CENTERing as well, just to be safe.

Leave in all JavaScript
Leaving in Javascript means the page doesn't receive the best optimization.
Leave in all <! Comments>.
Perhaps you have a CGI script that needs to have hidden comments in the HTML code.
Leave in  
Stuck in by some editors. If not chosen, these will be reduced to a regular space.
Leave in UN-CENTER immediately followed by a CENTER. </CENTER> <CENTER>
Stuck in by some editors. (Netscape Composer, maybe others.)
Leave in empty paragraphs 
Stuck in by some editors.
Leave in </LI>, and </DT>
Stuck in by some editors. Not needed, unless you are using style sheets which require them.
Leave in <BLINK>Blinking Text</BLINK>.
Most people seem to hate blinking text.
Leave in multiple consecutive 's or 's
Also 's immediately before or after If you have used instead of , you may need to check this.
Leave in unnecessary META code which is absolutely not needed.
- GENERATOR: Commercial HTML editors often put this in to show that their product was used to make the page.
- TEMPLATE: Put in by some editors (Microsoft, ...)
- PROGID: I've seen it, but I don't know what it does.
Leave in META http-equiv="refresh"
It may cause problems with this "page cleaner" if you leave it in.
Leave in META http-equiv="pragma"
Not needed and inconveniences some visitors.
